My 2.5 year old son just started "school" and has been feeling a roller-coaster of emotions. We bought this book hoping it would help him know that he can hold conflicting emotions together all at once and it's honestly helped! He loves to read it and mimic each of the feelings, and it's a great jumping off point for us to talk about the complexity of feeling. Slumberkins is such a gift for tiny people (and parents!).

I got this for my 4 year old and she loves it. It is a great story with a nice rhyme and a cute character. She enjoys learning about new animals and she had never heard of an ibex before. I love that is teaches her to name and embrace her emotions in a fun way.

Ibex has been a favorite of my children, and this book is the perfect tool for teaching young ones. It gives us a quick breakdown of what our feelings might be helping us to discover and communicate, which helps us move forward in our learning. My students have loved Ibex just as much as my kids, and I always keep it on hand in case we need a refresher.

This is the first book I bought from Slumberkins for my three year old, after thinking something would be helpful to talk about feelings. She loves the story and we just bought more! I do think reading this story together has been so helpful to remind us both to be mindful about our feelings.
